IKEA Lampan Lamp Hack

- IKEA Hack, Lamps
It is finally over!!!!! That one took a lot of time! But it was worth it! Our new table lamp is great! I have been wanting to make a new one, but i was not happy with a few ideas i came up with. A visit to IKEA was the solution. I got the LAMPAN Lamp, in white. I was going for the black one, but our local store was out of it. I settled for the white and i am really glad i did.

ikea lampan lamp hack

I used crushed glass, which i glued with white glue, to decorate the lamp hat. I glued the glass one next to the other on top. As i was going i added less and less glass.
And after a few hours (and days!!!) it was finally finished!

We are enjoying its light now, waiting for pizza and beer to come!
Enjoy your weekend,

I LOVE this! How did I miss this post! What a great idea! I am such a copier I would never have thought to do this. But it is now in my “future to do” idea space in my tiny brain! Have you posted this on Facebook?
Am sharing with a couple of friends. Love it!

Hi Niki! I loved this one. Sadly a few days later Panos and our little guy were playing(fighting) and dropped the lamp. His answer was “you can glue them again”! No comment on this one!

Hi, Zografia – this is really charming, I love how you decreased the crystal toward the bottom for that ombre look! Such a cute result!

Thanks Michelle. Unfortunately, the two men i live with destroyed the lamp a few days after i finally finished it! And the repsonse was “you can glue them again”.

That is really pretty. Did you buy the crushed glass or do it yourslef. It makes the lamp look so special and it looks nice with your white walls. A little bling never hurt anyone. 😉

I love this idea! Out here in Kuwait IKEA is one of the main brands for furniture and you can always spot expats new to the country by their overflowing trolley of key essentials. I like the simplicity of Ikea designs but I am a magpie at heart and I love anything that sparkles and shines. This is a great hack. Thanks for sharing this.

How beautiful! I love how you varied the coverage. I do hope the edges aren’t sharp. I would be the one to try to catch it as I knocked it over (I am a bit clumsy sometimes).
