Yes,
it is finally finished! And i am loving it! Our grey, black and white gallery wall! Where once was hanging my toilet paper roll decoration there are now hanging small photo frames.
I was reluctant about this at first, but i finally decided to try it! I chose a light grey color for painting the plaster board. It looks a bit darker than it is because there is not much natural light in our dining area. It looked really dark at first, contrasting to our off-white wall.
For the frames i just went with our home colors. Grey, black and white. I followed the advice from Apartment Therapy and matched some of the frames to the wall color.
I had the frames ready and it was time to fill them with something! That was the tought part. I do not like photos, so after creating two pieces with watercolors my inspiration ran out! I added a big, shiny decoration to one of the wall elements.
I kept two of them empty.
I filled one of them with a beautiful grey paper.
And for the rest of them i used Pic Monkey for creating and printing some designs.
Next…hanging time! First we placed the bottom row to begin with, then we filled the top row and we finished with the 2 sides. We kept big spaces among them. I think we need one more piece next to the white frame in the middle of the board.
We need one thing for sure. Keeping these tiny hands away! He tried cleaning it today, using a baby wipe! I’ll tell you more about little mister’s cleaning habbits on Monday!
What do you think of our first gallery wall attempt? Maybe i ‘ll add some color for spring!
Love the way it looks! Very nice 🙂
Thanks Liisi!

I like your frames. Your wall looks great. I love the idea of doing a gallery wall with frames, but I don’t have any room in this house.
Hi Leslie! Maybe you can try making a small gallery wall by adding them inside a bigger frame, like i did!
looks great! 🙂
