Vintage Home Decor Pieces In Our Home

- Home Decor

Something old or classic…this was the Creative Bloggers’ Challenge this month. And i must admit my fellow bloggers have shared beautiful ideas.  Ioanna from Ioanna’s Notebook shared her idea yesterday and  today is my turn! My vintage home decor pieces.

Creative Bloggers November Challenge. Something old or classic

I did not appreciate old stuff when i was younger. It’s only been a couple of years that i started having an eye for old or classic pieces. And i have managed to have a few of them! My grandma and my mother let me take a few of their treasures. And today i’m sharing them with you.

My pride and joy is our 50 year old dining table. I got that from my grandmother. It was their formal dining table. It’s a 1.12cm diametre, hand made round table. It expands to a 150cm oval one. My favorite part is the legs! I love them. Not that the wavy detail under the tabletop is not something to love!

See that vase on the table?  That was a wedding gift. For my parents’ wedding! That’s a 40 year old crystal vase. When i was  a kid it was always filled with chocolates, but since we have no self control over here, i am using fresh flowers and it proudly stands on our dining table.

Remember the white curtains i used for our $100 Room Makeover? They are pretty old. About 20-25 years old. My mom had the fabric, but never used it. So..lucky me! They were perfect for our bedroom.

Another old beauty is in our bedroom. It has been through a lot, but it’s back to its original color now. I also got that one from my grandmother. A 3-light chandelier in gold. My favorite part is the glass lampshades!

Zografia that table is gorgeous. I too did not appreciate vintage till much later. But now they look great mixed up with more modern pieces. Love your tagline.

I’m always fighting with my aunt about who is getting what! I finally found a tagline that is 100% true!
