I am excited! My favorite season is almost here. I love the spring sun, especially the morning sun when i enjoy my coffee outside. And my favorite celebration is close. Easter. The colors, the spring sents, the time in church during the week before Easter. I love them all. And this month the Creative Bloggers share ideas for Easter Decor. Katerina & Lena from VioletMimosa shared their idea yesterday and today is my turn.
I tried a very relaxing DIY this month. Basket weaving. It might sound boring, it might get boring, BUT it is really relaxing. And onve you get the hang of it, it’s not that difficult. I used this You Tube video for instructions and started making the baskets.

Next step was to make the eggs. I printed egg templates in 3 sizes and used them for marking the egg shape on the air dry clay. I have worked with air dry clay only one more time in the past for making a catch all bowl. For that project i have used DAS Air Dry clay. This time i used another brand, Jovi. I think it is more white that DAS. My assistant, the little guy that is, painted some of the eggs with his markers and i did the rest of them. I used purple crepe paper for wrapping 2 of them and they are my favorite.
I cut strips of green crepe paper to use as grass and fill the baskets. My assistant decorated the big basket, of course, and today we present to you our Easter Decor! And before you ask…No, there is no chocolate left. We ate it!
How are you decorating for Easter?
